Although there are no lots of evidence to support the transmission of diseases but many modern scientists have a different view on how healthy or safe kissing could be! Most modern scientists have argued from a reasonable angle, they admit that kissing could be complicated especially when a kissing partner has a cut in the mouth. Some researchers have recently confirmed .........
that the chances of getting HIV through kissing are extremely remote, and nobody has ever been infected through kissing. However, if a kissing partner fluid has a contaminated blood (including saliva), the risk of transmission exists.

Can I contract any other disease by kissing my partner? …oh yes!
They are small chances that you pick up something up by kissing….remember kissing is not restricted to mouth only! Diseases like Hepatitis A could be contracted by kissing some body parts of an infected unhygienic patient. Influenza and common cold are also diseases that can be contracted through kissing an infected person. Other diseases that can be transmitted includes mononucleosis, cold sores (herpes virus), tuberculosis e.t.c

Hmmmm…….So what? Are you suggesting “It’s a full stop to kissing?”

So now that you are probably never going to kiss your partner again out of the fear of catching these infections? …..it doesn’t sound that bad…umh! …..let me assure you that kissing is safe only if you follow the following golden rules of kissing.
1) You and your partner should get vaccinated against the flu and hepatitis A.
2) Never kiss someone who has facial/ lip lesions.
3) Never kiss a bleeding or a sick person with fever or cold.
4) Make sure you see a dentist when you notice any kind of bleeding in you oral cavity.
5) Stick to your spouse only.
6) See your family doctor regularly for more practical advice
7) If you think you have a problem with the rules above ……. Abstain from kissing!!!
