D death of any human being is an occasion for sober reflection, no matter what we think of the deceased. When Yusuf was killed some people rejoiced, but his death resulted in even more violence by boko haram. D killing of shekau, if confirmed, may not necessarily end boko haram insurgency given that there is no doubt that they hav sympathizers who may go underground for awhile to re-strategise. D insurgency will not end by killing 1,20 or 10,000 BH members; the end will only come when d root causes are resolved: illiteracy, dehumanising poverty, insensitive leaders, corruption etc. D members still alive hav their guns and explosives as well as training and expertise, and the entire NE is teeming with BH supporters - wouldn't it be foolish to think BH is finished for now.
