Ball mill-grinding equipment for mine plays a very important role in the ore dressing process, therefore, the choice of the ball mill very important. Now, I would like to analyze is the relationship between the production and structure of ball mill to facilitate the users’ choice.
1. The aspect ratio of the ball mill has a relationship with the mode of production. In order to ensure the qualified fineness of the product in one time, the aspect ratio of open flow production system of the ball mill is generally 3.5-6; while the aspect ratio of circle flow production system of ball mill is generally 2.5-3.5 for expanding the circulation of materials. That is, the greater of the aspect ratio of the mill, the greater of the bin number.
2. Every form of board within the ball mill and the number and size of grate holes of the board shall be properly. If the number and size of grate hole of the board is less and small, the effective ventilation area of the board will be decreased, thus increasing the ventilation resistance and impacting the material flow rate also. If the number and size of grate hole of the board is many and large, then the board strength will not be enough, which leads the coarse particles enter into the next compartment, increase load, and each aggregate work will lose balance.
3. The surface shape of ball mills liner also has great impact on mill output, because it can change the lifting height of the grinding bodies, i.e. affect the impact to material and grinding efficiency of the grinding bodies. Therefore, the form of the liner shall be selected correctly. The grinding efficiency of materials in the ball mill also has relationship with types, specifications, grading and fill rate of grinding mills, grinding miller or grinding ball.
