1.My bro jst got a Htc G2,nd we'v been havin problems rooting it.....plz can any 1 help us out,cntact me or post ur replies here....plzzzz 2. I need constant 3g ntwrk on d htc to download large files,but it only gives me 2g,the phone has 3g but its nt fixd....plz is there any way to force 3G ntwrk only? PLEASE HELP |

The problem with 3G could be coz the bands on the phone, mayb its meant for the US market, they use different bands from us. If the 3G doesn't say bands 900/2100, sorry u can't use any 3G service in naija on it. |

The band should b on the pack of the phone or manual I'll think. You'l have to search the net for rooting procedure. |

I think it should read 900/2100 to work here. But as its 1700/2100, it may work on networks on naija operating on the 2100 band but def not 1700 band |

Its even called the Tmobile G2 on gsmarena, so twas meant for the US market only. |

According to gsmarena, the only umts/3G band we use in this country is the 2100 band, so I'm guessing ur fone ought to work on 3G. Mayb u should select the 3G/WCMDA/UMTS option only on the device. If after doing that ur still unable to get 3G service, u should try all ur sim cards n then consult a phone doctor if all fails |

thats d prblm....dat option isnt there,it has jst ''use 2g ntwrk only'' in a checkbox,if its tickd,it uses only 2g,if nt,i guess its opn to all if its untickd,but yet,it still shows 2g notification on d top bar |
