does any body out there have an idea on how well a toyota camry engine can suite and drive a land rover freelander 1998 model?
any useful info will be appreciated.

If you haven't already purchased a Landrover Freelander, I would advise you don't. As for installing a Toyota Camry 2,2 16V DOHC into a Freelander, anything's possible, given enough money, skill and time. But you'll be creating more headache for yourself, so I personally wouldn';t recommend it. If you've got a Freelander with a dead engine, replace it with a LANDROVER FREELANDER engine, not a TOYOTA CAMRY one.

Please explain how a Toyota Camry engine works "perfectly" in a Landrover Freelander. You haven't even asked what year his Freelander is, and what Toyota Camry engine he's referring to, yet you're quick to say "I deal on the engine."

Please don't bother with a "conversion." You'll create more issues than a dead Freelander engine ever could. Either repair the old engine, replace it with the correct engine for a Freelander, or just sell it as it stands, and call it a day.
