Manchester United and Real Madrid have sold the most shirts over the past five years - each club selling an average of 1.4million a season.
The Premier League and La Liga giants dominant the global shirt sales market, according to research published by Sportingintelligence.
Only three teams in the world sell more than one million a season - United, Real Madrid and Barcelona - Tito Vilanova's side sell on average 1.15m per season.
The Premier League has four representatives in the top 10, including Manchester United. Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal each sell between 800,000 and 910,000 per year, while Serie 'A' boasts three clubs - Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan.


Bundesliga side Bayern Munich also feature in the top 10, selling on average 880,000 per season, but they are the only German side on the list.
All 10 of the representatives wear either Nike or Adidas shirts - the two global companies have 5 clubs each in the top 10 ranking.
But Manchester United and Real Madrid dominate the football landscape. Both clubs sell more individually than the three Italian clubs combined.
The popularity of the Premier League is reflected in the standings - English clubs make up almost half of the rankings - while the dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona on the pitch in La Liga is reflected in their commercial clout.
