2buff has some free time this week and is looking to experiment with either ruby(rails) or python(django) in order to get more familiar with them. They seem rather similar. Which one should 2buff consider? |

Rails is more popular for web projects than Django. However, Python is a lot more popular as a general programming language than Ruby. My suggestion is that you go for Python, assuming you will consider using these languages for something other than MVC website design (and I say this as a guy whose primary programming language is Ruby). |
