MY Phone refuses to be configured help

I used my K750i phone as a modem to connect to my pc to browse with last weekend, it started browsing but displayed cannot not find server i later disconnected the phone only for me to browse with and it refuses to browse

I have tried configuring it manually but it still will not browse, i have sent SETTINGS TO 3888 FOR MTN to send the settings but they have simply refused to send the settings, the first guy i spoke with on sunday from their customer care said the facility for send settings was down and i have to do it manually,

I managed to speak with one of their customer care people on yesterday around 7pm when the nigerian match was going on and she said i will be sent the settings but up till know noting

The question is did my connecting the phone to the pc do something to it that i cant browse with the phone even after configuring it pls nairalanders help me

am realy getting desperate

Break it dude. the phone sucks big time. that's one thing with sony ericssons.
by the way, i need to learn how to browse with mobile phones o. my mtn can browse but i can't connect it to the computer. i need a manual or what?

I disagree with y'all. Nokia is more difficult to configure than sonyericsson especially when inputting manual settings,i av a friend who uses n81 and it was diffult for me or him to configure it.@ Semi are u sure you av the right settings? Go to data comm, create a new account NAME-MTNWAP APN-web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net username-WEB,password-WEB, save it and then go back to connectivity enter internet profile,create a new profile NAME- MTNWAP,new profile-MTNWAP,connect using-MTNWAP save it then press more and enter settings, use proxy 10.199.212.2 and save it

My opinion: Nokia is the easiest.

You mean that your frd's N81 doesn't come with a settings wizard?

well, i feel it is common with the phone cos a friend of mine also uses the phone and was browsing with it but mistakenly deleted the settings on the phone and ever since then he has not been able to use it again.I feel manual configuration does not work with the phone

Go to data comm and create a new acc.
Create a new acc with the name mtn wap. . .

apn: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
username:web
password:web
ip address: leave blank
dns: leave blank.

Now go to internet settings and choose connecting using mtn wap.

Proxy add: 010.199.212.002
proxy port: 8080
username:web
password:web.

Nb: ip address is diff 4rm proxy address.
And in the *AUTHENTICATION* make sure PAP is the only one marked unmark the rest. . . . This should do it.


If that dosen't work then go through this simple process
