Nice story so far, I believe this is a summary? if not, then you need to flesh it out. On the use of "I", you need to learn to construct sentences differently. For instance, I remember the trepidation I had felt earlier in the day as I walked into my boss’s office. - trepidation had filled my stomach with huge rocks as the time to meet my boss rolled around.
