Chelsea Vs Manchester United - Capital One Cup (5 - 4) On 31st October 2012 by mukina2: 5:56pm On Oct 30, 2012 |
Team news for Wednesday night's Capital One Cup fourth-round clash between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has the impossible task of getting his players to focus solely on football amid the fallout from Sunday's explosive Premier League defeat to United. And he has to do it without the suspended John Terry, Fernando Torres and Branislav Ivanovic, and the injured Frank Lampard, meaning possible elevation to the squad for youngsters George Saville and Nathan Ake. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is set to ring the changes, with a number of youngsters set to feature. The likes of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand are set for a night off, while Michael Keane, Marnick Vermijl and Scott Wootton, who all started the win over Newcastle in the previous round, will be hopeful of a recall. Shinji Kagawa will be out for the next month with a knee injury, while this game has come to soon for defenders Chris Smalling (broken metatarsal) and Phil Jones (back and knee problems). Nemanja Vidic is still absent with a knee injury. Chelsea (from): Cech, Azpilicueta, Ferreira, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Bertrand, Mikel, Romeu, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Piazon, Marin, Sturridge, Turnbull, Saville, Ake. Manchester United (from): De Gea, Lindegaard, Johnstone, Wootton, Rafael, Evans, Keane, Buttner, Valencia, Anderson, Nani, Carrick, Cleverley, Fletcher, Powell, Scholes, Cole, Lingard, Vermijl, Tunnicliffe, Hernandez, Welbeck, Macheda, King. http://www.teamtalk.com/capital-one-cup/8212905/Chelsea-v-Manchester-Utd-preview 1 Like |

Piazon: “I feel good, the hamstring is good and the session was good… We practised some penalties for the game, just some finishing to get ready for tomorrow. The injury wasn’t too bad, I was out for only 2 weeks. I’m really happy to be back.” |

Question Do You think that the Chelsea spirit and the desire to take a revenge, Will be stronger than United's cheating and the ref's decisions ( Who will surely be United's 12th player tomorrow) ?? |

Abeg, Reserve this space for me. Be back soon. I think Ferguson will rest a lot of key players here. And chelsea would want to revenge last week's defeat at all cost. Let's hope for the best. The Best side wins - as always. |
