Imported Vs Our Local Rice (why Are We Unpatrotic) by Ofido(m): 9:13pm On Nov 01, 2012
Having studied Food Science and Technology in the university, i took kin interest in Rice Milling and Processing. Now with improved variety of rice seed available to farmers i can authoritatively say that Local rice have got beter organoleptic quality and its more nutritious than the so-called imported rice. Our current minister of Agric also comfirmed same when he made a speech sometime in May that Rice imported into Nigeria is only good for Livestocks. See link http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/41509-nigerians-eat-15-yr-old-foreign-reserved-grains....
