CHELSEA boss Roberto Di Matteo has hit back at Alex Ferguson’s comments on the Mark Clattenburg case — saying his players will draw inspiration from criticism.
Chelsea have accused Clattenburg of directing inappropriate language towards John Obi Mikel during the Blues’ defeat by Manchester United.
Ferguson said he “refuses” to believe the referee would make racist comments, but Di Matteo is in no mood to discuss that opinion.
He said: “He likes to talk about other clubs. We tend not to. I’ll leave it up to him.
“It’s a free country where everybody has the freedom of speech.
“We’ll take into consideration what other people say and use it as a motivational tool for ourselves.”
