In a unanimous verdict, the Supreme Court yesterday in Abuja dismissed applications filed by former presidential aide, Dr. Emmanuel Nnamdi Uba, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Anambra State gubernatorial candidate of the Nigeria Advance Party (NAP), Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Okonkwo, seeking to set aside its earlier judgment which declared Dr. Peter Obi as the legal occupant of the governor's seat.

The court described Okonkwo as a blackmailer who goes about extorting money from politicians and declared that he was "not fit to even live in the jungle."

Earlier, Justice George Adeshola Oguntade had sought from Okonkwo clarification on the purpose of N10 million bribe he allegedly received from Obi. He said he was paid the said sum to withdraw his preliminary objections to Obi's appeal and not to withdraw the main appeal.

It also lambasted Okonkwo for his brazenness in approaching it with an application to set aside its own judgment upon the claims that he was paid N10 million by Obi to compromise himself at the Court of Appeal

wonders will never end,how will this dishonourable Okonkwo face the people of Anambra again?

if the ubas can face the people of anambra, why won't mad people and common criminals face the people of anambra.
the issue is that many refused to understand that obj is no more the president of nigeria.
i know anambra people ill wake up to the realities of life one day and go after those who believe they must rule the state euther in piece or in pieces.
the truth is that the ubas have made the governance of the state a do or die affairs.
the prayers of anambra people will surely get to high hevens and only then the so called godfathers will begin to appreciate the greatness of God.

The beauty of democracy is dat even mad men can go to supreme court to make it reverse its decision which is always final.

Its disgraceful that Mr Okonkwo or whatever his name is will come to the SUPREME COURT to declare that he was bribed by Obi
I wonder what else EFCC is waiting for to start the prosecution of this man
He has already called himself a thief legally
