Izala Group Visits Sheikh Zakzaky

A delegation  of the National Youth Wing of Izala Muslim group has last Saturday, visited Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) at his residence in Gyallesu, Zaria.

Leader of the group,Uztaz Aliyu Rabiu Ladan, told Sheikh Zakzaky that they had now realized their mistakes of excommunicating their Muslim brothers from Islam since inception of the group.

He further said, they now want to bring reform in their organization, and that the primary concern is how to unite Muslims.

It would be recalled that, Sheikh Zakzaky had in the past years, instituted a Unity Week under the Islamic Movement in Nigeria between every 12-17 Rabi’ul Awwal, to bring together scholars from all schools of Islamic thought to share and express views affecting Muslims and Islam.

Responding, Sheikh Zakzaky re-iterated the importance of unity in Islam, adding that enemies of Islam and humanity at all time seek to create illusive gap between Muslims to achieve evil objectives. “Division among Muslims will only benefit enemies of Islam”, he pointed out.

He said, though the Izala group is factionalized but for a faction to take this bold step is commendable. ”Unity is a fundamental ingredient of our belief”, Sheikh Zakzaky emphasized.

The visiting delegation prayed Magrib and Isha behind the Sheikh Zakzaky, after which he presented  gift t of signed Sahifatul Sajjadiyya of Imam Zainul Abedeen[as] to leader of the group, Ustaz Aliyu Rabiu Ladan.
