The change in calendar comes as a result of the usage of the university's hostels for accommodation during the National Sports Festival to be hosted by Lagos state tagged 'EKO 2012' from the 27th November to 9th December this year.


As a result of this development, lectures billed to commence on November 12 have been postponed to December 10, 2012.
The information as signed by the Dean of Students Affairs, Professor Olukayode Amund reads:


"Please be informed that the university authority have decided to make an amendment to the university calendar of the 2012/2013 session as a result of the usage of the university hostels for the national sports festival as such, the commencement of lectures which was fixed for Nov. 12 has been postponed and will now commence fully Dec. 10, 2012"
