Used to be informal, but its all formal now when i can help it. Some people get puzzled when I ask for their last names or even email address when storing their contact. I guess it comes with age.

You can't know who is who in my contacts except maybe for my two sisters.
I particularly did not save my dad's number incase I get arrested or into trouble.undecided

Mine is coded. I don't bother locking my phone as externals will not understand anything in it whatsoever, from contact to text messages, everything is coded. Saves unnecessary explanations to ....you know now!

Anything in the middle of formal and informal is considered normal to me. the other 2 extremes are abnormal. I do not agree with those who think that coding names on ur phone is disadvantageous in case of accident. U can scroll thru a victim's call log and u can easily identify the most frequently called number, call that person, ...and the 2nd most frequently called and the 3rd and so on... those are the closest folks to the victim.
Re: Does Your Phonebook Look Formal Or Informal? by XKZ(m): 9:42am On Nov 11, 2012
Formal.
I'll even go as far as asking for your surname when I collect numbers (if I don't know it).
That's why I love Samsung, they let you store a person's real/formal name and a display name (where I put the nickname) and that's what I see when you call.
Before that there were times I'll see a name on my phone and be wondering 'Damn! Who is this??'
Re: Does Your Phonebook Look Formal Or Informal? by vivaciousvivi(f): 9:48am On Nov 11, 2012
Mine is formal. All names and surnames sometimes with titles - Dr, Chief. Of course my family members r stored informally with their nicknames.
Re: Does Your Phonebook Look Formal Or Informal? by SUXXI(m): 11:59am On Nov 11, 2012
I receive lots of calls and I easily forget names I have in my contacts. So I opted for the easiest way out. Save the name very formally with the name, surname and situation how we met or reason why I saved his or her name in my phone. I also hate to delete anything. So I save the names with full information.
