I am having problems in uploading my joomla website to my host. Below are the steps I took before getting the error.

STEPS.
1. I created a database with a Database name + Username+ password

2. I editted my configuration.php using username,database name and password

3. I exported the joomla files through phpmyadmin.

4. In my cpanel, I open phpmyadmin and inported the already expoted joomla.

THE RESULT
Error

SQL query:

--
-- Database: `precise_db`
--
CREATE DATABASE `Resume_db` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci;

MySQL said: Documentation
#1044 - Access denied for user 'precise'@'localhost' to database 'resume_db'

Though the above may work, I think this is tantamount to working hard instead of working smart.

To work smart, google "Akeeba backup", the preferred way to move Joomla websites, and follow the manual's instructions. I've used it before and must confess, it is quite straightforward.

Good luck!
