When the Public Address System shouted my name, "You dis boy! You don come back again?! Error, Error, Visa denied, go back home, bascad, oloshi, morrafocka, guards, guards, hol' am, hol' am!"

But why? Is it because the last time I was dere I told the VO to wind down his glass, I want to vomit in his eye?! cry

I think the complaint about treatment of Nigerians at the American embassy is at times blown out of proportion.
My last experience was May this year at the Lagos center.I had a 6.30am appointment and was there by 6am. I saw more than 500 Nigerians already waiting. Some had 6am appointment,6.30am,7am in that order.
When it got to our turn,we lined up and entered the main complex. We passed through the differnt steps from finger prints to the short interviews lasting less than 2 to 3 minutes.
The guys were profesionals and treated everybody with respect. The interviews were in the open so you could hear the next person.
They gave about 40% of people I saw that day visa. It was simple. Ones you have travelled outside the country before and earns upto five hundred thousand naira monthly you sure will get a tourist visa for your holidays.
You cannot be earning fifty thousand naira monthly and claim you are going on holidays and expect anybody to believe you.

It depends, sour experience if you decide to play smart, better experience if you play by the rules, not ruling out the typical Nigerian complacency and the typical American disregard for anything African,frank opinion from experience

US embassy? Is it a kind of gym? Ugba joint? Garri factory? Where it it?

I only know of 'Amala Embassy' at Ogui junction. sad

I got embarrassed the day they brought only 2 wraps of the stuff instead of the usual 4 wraps I normally request. angry
