Abuja, Nigeria — U.S. Embassy Abuja
announced a streamlined, more
convenient drop box renewal process
for non-immigrant visas today
December 18, 2013.

Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements:https://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile/niv_dropbox.html, may apply for a renewal of their U.S. non-immigrant
visa without visiting the U.S. Embassy
in Abuja or the U.S. Consulate in Lagos.

Applicants now simply apply online:
https://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile/niv_appointmnent_instructions.html, pay the fee as contained here:
https://nigeria.usembassy.gov/mobile//visapaymentinfo.html, print the renewal letter, and drop the letter, passport, application confirmation sheet, passport photos, and visa fee
receipt at the appropriate DHL facility
in Abuja or Lagos.

Drop box renewal application packets will be adjudicated and returned to the DHL location within 7-10 business days. Please note that participation in this program does not guarantee
visa issuance. Additionally, we may request applicants attend a visa
interview in certain cases.

Yes I was in d embassy today and I saw pple dropping there passport wt a paper probably a form for renewal and just turned back and walk away.

They have just adopted the Canadian style of visa acquisition. Its never the best form as far as am concerned,when you apply for Nonimmigrant visa you you know ur appointment date and you go for it. But the drop box will keep you waiting and thinking if you will be given or not and is an extra expenses.

how can one apply for a visa and be given with out agent ...to work in the USA or Canada

In fact this is wonderful news cos its cheaper than carrying the whole family to Abuja or lag and back. Plus all the questionings is reduced.

It means it will be easy to renew. Once you have the requirements, no long thing.

i dnt really understand the 5th requirement; The applicant has never been arrested or had an encounter with law enforcement, customs, or immigration officials in the United States.can someone who knows better explain please..

Write a letter to Seun. Include your full name; Mothers maiden name; contact details; scanned copy of Nepa bills with a current passport size photograph and scanned National ID card... And then wait for the next 72hrs

Never been deported from the States for immigration related offence or had to be arrested for criminal activities by law enforcement officers while in the States on a visit, study or work related matters.

All my previous us visas have been issued in the uk and the last one issued in the uk hasn't expired for more than a year
I just wonder if I would be able to use this system as I now live in nigeria
