1. Addition of Orange and Green
(a) This allows the printer to achieve the widest available colour gamut, which means corporate colors and non-real world colors can be achieved with this machines.
(b) It also allows more than 20% extra ICC profiles than previous generation, which enables you print on tones of different kinds of media: photo paper, matte, back-lit, canvas, synthetic adhesive, fabric,etc.
2. 3 levels of black + 1
(a) This enables the printer generate extremely neutral grayscale in black and which prints
(b) Minimises bronzing: that is the bronze-like look that appears in previous generation prints when looked at certain angle is minimised.
(c) Reduces metamarism: this is the effect that a print looks different under two/three lighting conditions.
3. Auto switch between matte and photo black: This happens dynamically without the user interference and without wasting over 10ml of ink which happens in previous generation.
4. Lack of maintenance: These machines take care of themselves automatically. All the user does is to replace in cartridges and feed media/papers
5. SpectroProofer compatibility: The proofer has two functions - auto generate icc profiles and auto certify and verify proof prints.
