If we fail to 'fashion our democracy' after US in terms of nomenclature for state, does it take anything away from our democracy? There is nowhere in the constitution where 'Osun State' or 'name State' is mentioned.

3. (1) There shall be 36 states in Nigeria, that is to say, Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara.

I insist that both State of Osun and Osun State are correct. We have both forms in the United States. Changing the pattern we adopted over 50years ago overnight is ridiculous.
