In the latest FIFA ranking released in Zurich a few hours ago, Nigeria is now ranked 45 over all. Her west African neighbour Ghana is now the no 1 team in Africa and 14th over all, Cameroun 17th and 2nd in Africa, CIV 3rd in Africa, Champions Egypt are 4th, Senegal 5th and your Super Eagle 6th in Africa and 45th over all. Some 26 steps backwards. Congratulations to the one and only BERTI VOGTS.  That man should not come to back Nigeria again, else we may get back to 100 or there about.

6th in africa? thats a mess

You should not be surprised and also the NFA should be blamed for employing a failure as a coach for the super eagles.

I cant beleive Nigeria is 6th in Africa FIFA is biased we should be like tenth. Angola, Guinea, Tunisia, should be ahead even Seychelles

NFA should be d first 2 b blamed b4 Vogt. We are done now. This is our worst FIFA ranking for more than a decade. Vogt is a bas*ard. Ghana deserve their ranking. They are 14th in the world and the best in Africa. If Egypt had a good ranking b4 the nations cup probably they would be the first in Africa. They still have friendly to play and if they win it, they will be among the top 2o countries in the world. To hell with the Super Goat. The Super eagles squad should be disbanded and we use our local league players. Even our local league is very bad that only teams that play home wins(this is ridiculus). Egypt has a good league and soon they will be among top 10 in the world if they keep there tempo high.

I would change nationality to Egypt or Ghana if things still remain as it is because we may not go to the World cup. Sani Lulu and his hosts must be jailed, they have disgraced us. Fifa deceived us since by giving us good rating in the past. We should be at least 40-50 positions in fifa ranking b4 the nations cup.

I know the Super vultures were crap in the just concluded ACN but am i the only one that wonders what Senegal are doing ahead of us, they were twice as bad as us, at least we lost to teams that made the final 4

Senegal lost to lowly rated Angola and only managed 2 points in the whole to tournament, they didn't make it to the 1/4 finals yet they didn't drop as far as we did, i know the difference isn't much but these FIFA rankings can be so crap, lil wonder why Sepp Blatter is hardly taken seriously wherever he goes

Nigeria Football Association Chairman, Sani Lulu, has tendered an apology to Nigerians for the Super Eagles‘ poor performance at the Ghana 2008 Nations Cup finals.

Speaking at the Local Organising Committee for the Nigeria 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup meeting on Tuesday, the NFA boss admitted that Nigerians had high expectations before the team‘s departure for Ghana but regretted the team‘s performance at the event.

He said, ”The NFA is disappointed at the team‘s performance but we can only look forward. I apologise to Nigerians for the poor showing and I want to say that we have learnt a few lessons from the dismal outing.”

One of the sports *hiefs received a national award today,
make you hear that one before you go de call them names.
Till today no solution for eagle's manager quesition, all we

being said. Our world cup qualifier agianst a fast improving

When was the last time Egypt qualified for the World Cup? Its no good winning the African Nations Cup when you can't even qualify for the World Cup,

Maybe Egyptian players are only "specialised" in winning local tournaments.They haven't played in the World Cup since 1990 . . . . . .its no surprise they are where they are in FIFA rankings.
