The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the top three candidates for this year‘s African Player of the Year award.
Reigning footballer of the year, Ivory coast and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is joined by fellow Ivorianand national team captain, Didier Drogba and Cameroonian midfielder Alexander Song.
The winner will be announced on December 20 at the Awards Gala in Accra, Ghana.
The top three for the African Player ofthe Year (Based in Africa) are Mohamed Aboutreika (Egypt and Al-Ahly); Rainford Kalaba (Zambia and TP Mazembe) and Kalaba’s clubmate and compatriot, Stoppila Sunzu.
