It would be easier for him to be friends with someone around him, otherwise finding someone on the internet who may be thousands of miles away from him doesn't make sense. He could be friends with anyone on the internet. I don't talk anyhow.I think before I talk. May be you should pick that up from me. However, I still don't get this topic.
