Hello Community, 1. Click on the "Start" menu. Double-click "All Programs." Scroll through the list and locate PowerPoint. Double-click "PowerPoint" to open the program. 2. Click on the area in the center of your screen that says "Click to add title." This area is your workspace --- called the slide pane --- for typing and inserting your content. Slides --- blank pages --- make up the slide plane. Each slide has designated areas, known as placeholders, where you will type your content or add pictures, charts and images. 3. Begin typing on the initial slide, which will automatically be within the placeholder. Look to the left column on your screen, you will see a column of slide thumbnails. This provides easy navigation between the slides as you create each of them. To access any one of the slides, simply click on the slide and it will appear on the slide pane. 4. Click the thumbnail under the first slide thumbnail in the slide column. This will open a new slide on the slide plane. Repeat Step 3 for adding content to the page. 5. Add your content for note-taking. Topics to include are preparedness, enhancing listening skills, jotting down the main idea, using abbreviations, developing your own method, recording page numbers and leaving space on the page. Fill each topic header with the appropriate information. 6. Click "Previous Slide" or "Next Slide" at the bottom right of the scroll bar to navigate through your slides. 7. Click on the menu option and save the file. Best Regards Tony Mccallum Notebook App |
