there is no differnece between the two. W3c is a short form of eutelsat16.

w3c and amos5 have a very close degree 16e and 17e respectively.
In a normal circumstance, amos5 should be a different satellite entirely and also w3c but due to their proximity i.e their nearness in degree, both can work together on a single dish with single lnb.

Valto: thanks all for ur contributions here. i av finally been able to track amos5/w3c. i have gotten so many channels than i ever imagined(i use str 4922A). i will add another lnb on my dish and try and track w3a.. i really need mbc.. thanks guys
