UK Plans More Visa Interviews For Students by worry359(m): 5:15pm On Dec 12, 2012 |
Things are going to get tougher for school visa applicants. More people applying for visas to study in the UK are to undergo face-to-face interviews, rather than just paper checks, the home secretary has said. Theresa May said that from next April border staff would question more than 100,000 people to "root out abuse" of the system, She pledged to help end the use of visas as a "backdoor route" to work. Potential students are likely to be quizzed on their knowledge of English and details of the course they are planning to study. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20692893 |
