The jamaatu Ahlil Sunna lidawati waal jihad group (a.k.a boko haram) keeps on daring the Nigerian state with its ferocious attacks. In fact the fear of the insurgent group is now the new definition of wisdom. By now, every Nigerian must be used to the usual banalities and platitudes from the govt of they being on top of the situation each time there is an attack. This is their usual mantra. While the govt continues to dawdle as to whether to use the carrot or stick approach to stop this insurrection, the insurgents seem to be winning. However, this is only the lighter side of a more terrible tragedy, the country sits on several kegs of gun powder and time is running out. With a majority of the youths unemployed, the group will always find an unlimited supply of minions to do their bidding, and even after BH there will still be some other groups if naijas fundamental issues are not re-visited. While the govt continues to act in their usual cavalier manner, BH continues to assert their authority, and indeed to fear them is to be wise. Nigeria continues to teeter precariously on the brink of anarchy. A fall down the cliff is imminent.
