Hi guys, i just want to know why they sing and dance a lot in their movies. They would communicate partly in dialogues and would suddenly break into dance and songs. Why do they do that?

The core reason is that singing and dancing is part of the indian culture, and it has been a natural gift since inception. So, the reason why the phenomenon is included in most of the film is because; 1. It serves as a means of entertaining the audience durind the movie and, 2. Huge amount of money is generated through the song as it would be lunched earlier than the release date of the movie. A movie may have 5, 4 or more depending on how the director wants it.
