It was amazing when I first met someone wearing a rubber footwear. It was glittering/shining and sparkling; and it looked comfortable on any outfit. TBH, I never knew it was rubber at first sight, but a closer look and touch made me realise what fashion has turned the world into.

At celebrity occassions and hang-outs, that is what you see them put on presently because it's currently in fashion. Infact, it has now become something that a lot of people are wearing right now.

In my own view, rubber footwears diminishes the quality of your outfit regardless of whatever you are wearing. Infact, some rubber footwears ache peoples legs because the rubber material is thicker than the accustomed leather footwears we are used to.

Regardless of how sparkling it looks when we wear them for different occassions, I believe the rubber footwears should be relegated to house wears and be used mainly for house chores.

The rubber shoes are everywhere and its one of the reasons i don't like them and would never wear them.
I think its more appropriate indoor than outdoor though it might serve some purpose during rainy season and for those that like to wear flats to work and change to heels at the gate..

Rainshoes!!!! U will feel the heat when you get under a hot sun! Not for me though!!!

I haven't set my eyes on anything that resemble such. Nice footwear though. Lest I forget, which position to comment did i fall into sef. 11th position not bad @ all. I will make it 2 1st to 10th next time.

There are also ones designed for guys and I love mine.

my problem is not even dat rubbers footwares are in vogue, but the exurbitant prices at which they are sold is what baffles me most........SMH..!

Comfortabilty should be key word here,I wear thing that are convenient for me for regardless either rubber,or leather,as long as it met basic requirement of where am wearing to.

To me rubber shoe na rubber shoe, whether you call it shinning, it still remain rubber things.....

Yes abokis love their thick rubber/plastic shoes.

Its called Zeleoku or zeloku....meaning..avoid fire/heat...good to know its making a come back...the sandal type used to be popular with school kids..the buckles easily come off while the shoe types are popular with lepers/kutru.

I'm wearing one right now... It's very comfortable and i like it that way.

[size=18pt]It is better and safer to wear them on Nigerian streets and roads, especially in the floods.
The funny thing is you will see many Nigerians removing them and walking barefoot in the rains.
Rubber footwear should be good for the beaches, but you will also see many Nigerians going to the beach fully dressed.
