Inspectior General of Police Mohammed Abubakar yesterday said the Nigeria Police Force will henceforth administer its pension schemes.
The police pensions office was in the past administered by officials from the civil service. The sum of N32.8 billion from the police pension funds was embezzled by civil servants attached to the office recently. Abubakar said this at an interactive session with junior police officers in Abuja.
