Accomplished, Striving as well as Aspiring very charming and very sexy young men from all corners of Nigeria have started gearing up as the quest to who becomes the next Mr. Universe Nigeria 2013; the nation’s biggest and creatively produced contemporary male contest gets underway.
The event which was activated yesterday (January 9, 2013) in Lagos is exclusively for Nigerian males between the ages of 17-28 years who either live in Nigeria or outside the shores of the country.

Mr. Universe Nigeria Contest, combines a male pageantry and a supermodel search into one to create a super talent competition for discovering future national personalities such as film-stars, models, businessmen, spokesmen and performers. Santiago Roberts, initiator and President of Mr. Universe Nigeria Organisation said the event which is encapsulated by its motto ‘ for the glamour, for the purpose, for the nation’ has been strategically designed not just to add value to the contestants but also in the long run for them to become a force to reckon with both here in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

“The Mr. Universe Nigeria Pageant has a foundation of integrity and class. I do believe that the pageant sets the bar high, and it expects much from state delegates. The foundation is of moral and ethical quality, and definitely is a system that all eyes should be watching. We are on the move!” says Allen Ukwuru, the reigning Mr. Universe Nigeria 2012.

"Last year, 26 of Nigeria’s sexiest and intelligent men which included lawyers, teachers, fathers, authors, students, business owners and more representing the 6 geographical locations of the country competed in the prestigious event…And this year, we strongly believe that the game has been up’d and hence, we would be seeing more young men cutting across various spectrums of the nations industry trooped in as participants", Chuks Collins, the brand manager reiterated.

Mr. Universe Nigeria pageant is owned by QHUE CONCEPTS [a top events management & PR brand].
The Mr. Universe Nigeria 2013 project is being marketed exclusively by Motbensonz Solution, a top notch Nigerian marketing brand with Media and PR handled by E-Konsult and Iconx Media.

The activation/launch also saw the unveiling of the events official website where prospective contestants and sponsors/partners can get more info about the event.
Mr. Universe Nigeria 2013 grand finale which will be held on 11th May at the prestigious Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, will be promoted by leading broadcasting networks in the country as well as through the global network of Mr. Universe Model International Licensees which is expected to be watched by about 50 million viewers around the world through the webcam network EarthCam (www.earthcam.com) that provides 99% of the live broadcasts of the world.
The top winning contestants will be given opportunities to represent Nigeria at Mr. Universe Model(in Dominican Republic, South America), Best Model Universe (Panama) and Best Model World(Spain).

The truth is, lots of stories have gone on about modeling both in Nigeria and beyond its shores but most of them are rather vindictive... the most important thing is to encourage and support the amount of work these models, scouts, producers and directors put into their work/career, and not to find a way of tearing them down.

people like tyson beckford and david beckam still face such heavy criticism till date, its sad. i encourage you to go all out for it if you believe your passion lie there-in.

God help us all
