The PSB Image T6... very good price, outstanding sound quality for a speaker!

PSB Image B4 bookshelves... i own these pair. Dont be fooled by their size... they pack a huge punch!

In the market for a nice wallet-friendly A/V receiver with no frills but brilliant at doing what it does best?
Then look no further than the NAD T748, 7.1 and 3D-capable!
If you love stereo-quality music then get this receiver, i own one and i would not swap it for anything... did i mention you can get B-stocks of this for no more than $700? Oh and best of all, it actually comes with a mic and in-built software that calibrates your speaker settings based on your room and sitting position. Just plug in your mic, follow-on screen instructions and let it take care of the rest!

I dont have those but can definitely get them from a supplier here. They are more higher end speakers.
You can get a few of them cheap though.

it depends on what you want. If you're looking for floorstanders like the paradigm studio 100 and PSB T6, they will set you back a good $1400-$4000 a pair. The bookshelves are cheaper and you should be able to get the PSB B4s for about $400 a pair. The bookshelves are just as good, they may not have the bass thump like the floorstanders but if you get a sub that should not be a prob.

You can definitely get cheaper bookshelves but i would not suggest going any lower than $250 for QUALITY speakers.

I wont lie, good quality systems cost money. The $250 i quoted comes for only a pair of the B4 bookshelves lol. BUT i can also suggest a system such as the Yamaha YT-397 for no more than $500. It is a complete 5.1 speaker system with an A/V receiver. I own something like this in my bedroom and it is VERY GOOD. Infact i thought i would sell if off after i got the PSB floorstanders but no way...

Those can definitely be got. JBL is also a very good high end speaker manufacturer.
That should run you in the $1000-$1300 range i think.

The price is for one speaker. For a pair you will have to double the price ($2000-$2600 minus tax and freight).

M-audio has a dealer less than 20 mins from me i can help you with but it is doubtful if they carry the type of speakers you want. Would you want me to look into those for you? I doubt they would be much cheaper than the JBL line though.

Pls note - If you wish to cut costs, consider used/demo/B-stock gear as well. Most are usually just as good as brand new.
