Edo state is cool....,o probs...close to delta state(warri)...very close(30 to 45mins drive), they ar good people, nice people, u av no reason to be scared. about a month back or so, I read a news were adams oshomolie(governor) says he wants to increase state allawee to 10k....neva can tell, u mite be among those to start enjoyin it....try and get a rubber shoe(500naira) cos d edo I knw is red soil....ur normal tennis shoe can't do d magic....

Calm down Bukola, Edo state ain't that bad, I'm sure u gon enjoy it. U may not really like d camp. My Ex-girlfriend is currently serving there and she was always giving dis sour comment abt d camp. Tho she did admit life after camp is bin fun n sweet. Btw if u get a good PPA. She said Edo doesn't pay Kobo bt she was able to work her way to UBTH(university of Benin teaching hospital) where she receives 15K besides the federal govt. allowee. According to her, fins are cheap in Edo and it's a gud place for corpers. Just be smart!!! Gudluck dear

From Benin city to Ede camp in Osun state.........Take a bus from Ringroad or New Benin going to Ugbowo and stop at Uselu motor park.
From dat park, u can get direct vehicles going to Ede in Osun state and other South-Western states in Nigeria.
Strictly note dat, motor bikes popularly called 'Okada' are now contraband goods in some local government areas of Edo state especially in Benin metropolitan areas (Oredo, Ikpoba-okha and Egor LG).
U endurance trekking could start any time whenever u ignore those commercial buses plying ur routes. Pls, take note.

Oshiomole does not joke with corper's allowee in Edo state. He pays regularly. My cousin is currently serving there for batch A.

Bros! Where u get ur own info from? Some1 stated categorically on dis forum that He(Oshiomole) doesn't pay buh she is lucky to be serving @ UBTH to get 15k @ d end of d month. My guys (4 of dem) are there and they get 0k @ d end of d month from d state. Maybe u shd ask ur cousin again, hers might be an exception too just like d UBTH gurl.
