Musa goes blonde:
Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa has gone blonde for the African Nations Cup tournament.
The CSKA winger has dyed his hair gold ahead of the Super Eagles’ opener against Burkina Faso on Monday.
Musa's shock of gold was visible as the players trooped into the arrival lounge of OR Tambo International airport in Johannesburg.
The player said he is taking after former skipper Austin Okocha, who also sported a blonde top at the 1998 World Cup in France.
Extra security as fans turn out for the Eagles
South Africa called on extra security to police OR Tambo International airport as a throng of adoring Nigerian fans invadedthe arrivals terminal to welcome the Eagles.
"We know Nigeria always have a large crowd following them and we don't want any problems, so we got extra men to man the airport," a top female official told GVIP.
Students, politicians, and at least one former Eagles player all welcomed Nigeria's national team to South Africa with a bubble of deafening rhythm in Johannesburg.
The volume of their drumming was matched only by the height of their expectations.
Although the Super Eagles arrived for the tournament with a near unprecedented 17 debutants, including six local players, that has not in any way lessened expectations of a first trophy in nearly 19 years.
