Hi guys,

My 2001 Ford Windstar arrived Tincan island port from New jersey 20th November 2012. Unfortunately i misplaced the OBL and it has been running demurrage since then. My shipper promised issuing another at the end of this month. How much would the demurrage from about 9 weeks cost? Somebody help with an estimate.

Simply ask your shipper to help you get a telex release.
That would save you time.
Estimated Demurage if it came on Grimaldi line would look close to what is stated below.

20th -22nd Nov - Rent free days
23rd -28th Nov - N1200 P/day *5 =N6000
29th -3rd Dec - N1800 P/day *5 = N9000
4th - 8th Dec - N3100 * 5 -N15,500
9th Dec till 30th January.N3100 * 52 =N161,200 .

If left till month end then you looking at a demurage/rent in the N191,700 region,certainly more than my anticipated amount
