The Nigerian Minister of Education,Prof.Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai,has warned all employing companies and organiations in thje country to thoroughly verify every certificate tendered for employment before appointment letters are be issued.

The Minister informed that the Certicate Verification Unit of her Ministry was active and could be contacted at any time.

Rufai,who gave the strict warning in Abuja at the Post 2012 Millenium Development Goals(MDGs) Teachers Re-training Workshop Review Meeting,said the government had set an agenda to continue to ensure that the problem of quality in the nation's education sector was addressed by ensuring that teachers' training and re-training are given adequate attention.


Her words: "The buttom line of the training is to equip teachers with basic skills and knowledge that will enable them to improve
on their professional practices".
