The Mali invasion and forceful annexation of a sovereign country by supposed Islamists who in themselves are not necessarily indigenous to the actual Malian territories. This in itself is an affront to contemporary civil norms and values but more shocking is the quite agreement and covert collusion of Mali’s supposed Islamic neighbours in the matter.

The question immediately suffices to consider how this was made possible? Looking at the infrastructure set up of these groups there has to be a considerable funding source, where are they getting their finance from. Please don’t say to me through the criminal activity of Kidnapping, Illicit Drug facilitation, Smuggling, etc. Yes funds are generated but not enough to carry out the annexation of a land mass that exceeds the whole of France.

Consider the objection to the French initial led defensive military response to a further aggression by the Islamists. I use the term justifiable and legitimate as being substantiated, France responded to an SOS request for immediate help by the interim legitimate government, it was a desperate situation, and Mali's African brothers failed to help immediately. There has been outright condemnation and objection by Egypt, Iran , Tunisia, Qatar and others but without any coherent rational for thier objections;

If you want to know more look beyond the headlines and do some research it all out there.

When we consider the ominous silence of our North African brothers in this matter if indeed we can call them that, they were willing to see Mali completely run down, mashed up, cut up and divided out, but to whom. I see premeditated hostile collusion at the very least and covert subterfuge all done in the name and pretext of Islam. Are we shocked I do not think so if you are informed and conversant with our history of Islamic supposed uprisings there has always been the unseen hand of our Arab brothers.

The military war in Mali will be won quite quickly but the socio economic regeneration of a people and the war against ignorance, illiteracy, poverty is an entirely different matter. Furthermore, as long as you have outside countries with a supposed Islamic agenda willing to sponsor unrest and insurgency in sovereign countries we will not see peace in our region. You must realise that under the supposed rhetoric of Islam sponsored by these countries is the quest for economic benefit, in this regard the mineral rich wealth of the territories of Mali.

When the larger picture is considered we have to as a nation be in the forefront of the Mali intervention and subsequent rehabilitation of all it democratic and governmental infrastructure.
