Sequel to the resolution of the governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, to demolish the prestigious Fakunle Comprehensive High School on saturday February 2, 2013 and replace the school with a car park, a 5000 man match is scheduled to take off on the vast premises of the school and advance decisively to the governor's office in protest of what is widely condemned as uninsightful and misguided.
Alumni of the great school from 1965 till date, members of the NLC and TUC, multitudes of illustrious sons of Osun state and several advocates of functional education are expected to Occupy Osogbo tomorrow. A press release is scheduled to be made tomorrow and several national dailies of tomorrow 1st Feb are expected to contain details of the strife.

Yeah, it's true o. Students of the school were moved to other schools today in readiness for saturday.

The famous 48 years old Fakunle school! (*sad*)

It's for the betterment & orderliness of the Oshogbo, no worries.

But would have been appreciated if a new school structure is built with the same name "Fakunle", instead of just moving students of the school to other schools and eradicating the well known name "Fakunle".

no comment for now since the news is just being carried about by people which may later be a rumour.

it is totally true and it's now common knowledge in Osogbo. Students of the school were moved out yesterday and spread over several smaller schools. Aregbe is resolute on building his beloved car park....and great Fakunle must be levelled for the governor's dream to come to fulfilment.

This is called AC.N LOGIC demolishing a Prestigious school for a car park so as to make money for tinubu and his gang!.same thing in lagos when they converted a public road to a private business.

The crowd is now gathering. The Alumni have decided to file a lawsuit against the state govement to prevent the demolition of the great school.

Open protest is picking up.
