CALL CENTRES AND TELEMARKETING COMPANIES GROWING BIG IN NIGERIA

Many European companies have long been outsourcing their call centres to other countries due to the fact that it is cost effective. Recently, these
companies especially in the USA, UK and Canada, have their call centre in Nigeria. Hence, there has been call centre trainings in Nigeria because these companies place so much standard than other customer care jobs in Nigeria.

Telemarketing also known as telesales is a method of marketing where the salesperson directly solicits the prospective buyer to buy products or services over the phone. This method has been in use in mainly more advanced countries like USA, Canada, Italy, China, India, Philippines among other European and Asian countries. As civilization and development penetrates our country, telemarketing is gradually being used by different companies in Nigeria like the banks and telecom companies. There are many benefits of telemarketing in Nigeria, given the present state of our country where people prefer to use their time productively. They’d rather you advertised over the phone and meet them face-to-face on an appointment than take out of their productive time. This was from the survey of different marketing companies, where we realized that customers immediately loose interest or discharges these sales persons, once they know it’s about marketing.

There is necessity for customer care training in Nigeria, since even the agents don’t listen attentively, they lack effective communication skills, especially when the “consumer is assumed to be wrong” or there is an irate customer. To be a quality customer care representative in Nigeria, one has to be well trained on how to identify the different behaviors of the customer and how to satisfy them effectively. Now, there are many benefits of setting up call centres in Nigeria. These foreign companies knowing our call centre representatives meet up with the international standards would want to employ the available ones and even invest more. The economy of Nigeria is so low right now and unemployment is at its peak. The government doesn’t promise to make everyone better either, given that the graduates have out flooded the labour market. Call centre trainings in Nigeria, would help produce eligible personnel for our customer care jobs and outsourced call centres in Nigeria seeking professionals.
