Keshi Using Mind Games On Burkina Faso...emenike Most Likely To Start by Swaginton(m): 7:56pm On Feb 09, 2013
The Spartak Moscow striker sat out the team’s
training on Saturday evening but there are
indications that this might just be an effort to
throw off Sunday’s final opponents
Nigeria might be playing mind games with Burkina Faso
ahead of Sunday’s final match of the Africa Cup of
Nations in Soweto’s National Stadium with the news of
injuries to some key players.
Even though striker Emmanuel Emenike sat out
Saturday evening’s training, it is expected that he would
start the game against the Stallions.
Coach Stephen Keshi told a press conference that team
doctors were working on both Emenike and Victor
Moses’ fitness ahead of the final match.
Keshi said that the decision to play either of the two
players would be taken on Sunday morning.
However, Moses trained with the team on Saturday
evening as he kicked the ball and ran around without
any hint of pain.
Conversely, Emenike sat down and watched the team
train without putting on his boots. But close sources say
that the Spartak Moscow striker is likely to start,
something that would surprise their opponents....source:goal.com
