[color=#990000][/color] i want to put a sound on a webpage but im finding it difficult,i have tried using the the <embed>tag and <bgsound>tag but all to avail.please someone should help me out on which tag to use and on which browser.thanks |

what is the extension of the sound file? Is it supported by browsers? If yes, then: 1) You mentioned embed. I don't know much about flash but I think you have to add the sound file as on object and save it in whatever flash format it is before you can use the embed/object tag 2) for bgsound tag (which should be deprecated by now), I think that only supports certain sound files like .mid. I hope these help. |

i wont advice you to put a background sound on your site. not many people like it. and besides that technique is getting outdated |

aphoe: @ aphoe Bros you sure have wierd replies to posts,what in on earth makes feel background sounds are outdated,what would you say then about flash websites that have sound embedded in them. After all those flash movies,have sound controls such as volume control and mute. |
