The Federal Ministry of Education has refuted reports that President Goodluck Jonathan has mad U-turn on the change of name of University of Lagos after late Moshood Abiola.
It said this on Friday in Abuja that, it had yet to receive any categorical statement from the Federal Government on such a decision.

I think wot shud b our concern now is givin our educational system a good structure rada dan makin noise cus of a change in d name of an Inst.

The AGF filed a case in favour of FG in renaming the institution.But a lower court still upholds the institution legitimate name.Presently i think Jonathan is being manipulated by his body of educational advisers.as usual he's clueless,he has seen the varsity would put up a fight to the name change,so why not let it be,same time he doesn't want to look weak and impose his decision on the school.Lets watch and wait.the court still got the answer and even if it rules in favour of FG.UNILAG wouldn't respect that verdict.its not just the poshness or the swag of the name they fight for but the prestige and honour it has brought the school,building fame on its foundation.Unilag will stay.its ridiculous that at a schools 50th Golden jubilee,its name needs a change.if jonathan loves M.K.O so much why not rename aso rock or his Otueke village after him.changing unilag was with good intentions but inappropriate motives that backfired on GEJ.imagine changing Nigeria's name to something else.i'd put up a fight.
