Are you the real Anony?

This is quite below him.

How you can take an atheist (Bionic Dance) that even many atheists do not like and then try to make a point?

In what sense do you think morality is objective? I ask because you don't seem to realize that there can be objective facts about subjective values.

It is precisely because of the bold that I am sure morality is objective even though it is subjectively percieved. Perhaps you should tell me why you think it is totally subjective

Interesting --- now that I've seen the video.

This thread should be linked to this other one https://www.nairaland.com/1210342/christians-agree

They complement each other and together they make the point beautifully. wink

That will depend on the concept of subjectivity and objectivity we're using.

e.g is morality objective in the same way 2 + 2 is objectively 4? Or is it objective in the same way that if you love someone, you'll care for them? Or is it objective in the same way that good health is better than poor health?

Is it subjective in the same way that chocolate is better than vanilla? Or that pleasure is better than pain? Or that the better way to treat someone who gives you a slap is to turn the other cheek?

I'll leave you to make the clarifications. So what sort of subjectivity do you apply to morality?

The type that pleasure is better than pain.

The type that pleasure is better than pain.
Is your argument therefore that actions that lead to pleasure are morally better than actions that lead to pain?

and if your pleasure will plead to someone else's pain, what then?

No, it is that the idea of subjectivity being used matters in the discussion.

Then it leads to their pain. What is your point?

What don't you understand? Is it that the idea of subjectivity being used is important or that what I presented was an example of subjectivity that has to first be agreed upon for the discussion to proceed?
