Damoche's Murder: Police Recovers His Phone by Nobody: 2:46pm On Mar 05, 2013
The mobile phone belonging to the late singer, Damino Damoche has been recovered by the police.

Following the investigations on the alleged cult-related murder that happened last Thursday at the Lagos State University, Ojo, officers of the Ojo Police Division say they have gotten a trail that may lead to the murderers.

Speaking to NET in confidence, one of the detectives attached to the case said that Damoche’s GSM phone was brought in by a campus marshal (security).

‘The campus marshal said an unidentified student brought the phone to him claiming that he picked it up from the ground after the attack.

We have since asked the marshal to provide the student for questioning or he will remain in our custody for more interrogation’ the detective said.

The officer also denied making series of arrests as reported by some media saying, ‘No arrests have been made so far, we are still investigating and hopefully with the link we are following we should be able to wrap-up the case.

Why why why this is the reason people wont come out and help the police. Good old dectective work with that phone will reveal more. Who picked the phone and turned it campus Marshal or police is most likely not going to be the individual who pulled the trigger lipsrsealed

So the marshal should provide a student that was honest enough to return a phone he found on the street, Or remain in their custody.
My guess is that the student that found the phone and the marshal would be the first suspects that would be arrested.

Moral of the story, If you find anything that can help the police solve a case, leave it where you found it and run away!

Inept police force...
Once again, they have displayed why they can never be relied on, trusted or respected!
Nigeria Police Force is a monumental disgrace!
Re: Damoche's Murder: Police Recovers His Phone by Emaprince: 3:42pm On Mar 05, 2013
why would they want to keep the guy that found the GSM in custody?it has become a crime to come out and help police with useful informations during investigation periods.this is why people that even saw the faces of the killers will never come out to admit that they were ever present at the time of the murder.i hope they don't do some physical interrogation on him hence, making him accept being an accomplice under duress.

I bet you, the Ojo Police would never make any meaningful arrest. They will arrest innocent people. They know the cultists, they should go after them, afterall they all smoke marijuana together at different joints. May God help us!

Intelligence officers should be brought into the case. They should scrutinise and track all calls that was made to his phone and, hopefully that would help.

The nigerian police FORCE has made itself a FORCE to reckon with in the way they FORCE innocent people to become suspects.
Seriously, the investigative arm of the naija police is primitive. They need to be refreshed.

It all depends on how the police will handle the case of the student who picked the phone. In all parts of the world, it is only normal to question the person who comes up with an evidence pulled from the crime scene.
