An expanding wholesale distribution and transportation company seeks the services of a competent candidate with the following qualifications and skills for employment.

Job Title: Accounting Officer

Location: Lagos

Qualifications:
Maximum age of 35 years
OND/HND in Accounting or relevant field

Relevant Experience:
Minimum of 2 to 3 years post-NYSC experience as an accountant. Preferably in a retail, distribution or FMCG organisation

Skills & competencies:
Proficiency in Quickbooks 2012 Accounting software
Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc)
Good knowledge of statutory reporting standards

Personal attributes:
Self-disciplined and methodical with great attention to detail
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
Fast learner with good analytical skills

Key responsibiilities:
Consolidate daily sales data from field personnel
Enter sales, purchasing and inventory data into company financial software
Reconcile customer accounts with field sales team
Reconcile system stock balance with stock report from warehouse locations
Liaise with company bankers and reconcile bank statements
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly activity reports
Prepare weekly sales forecasts and cash flow analyses
Monitor customer credit limits and account receivables
Liaise with company vendors to facilitate fulfilment of purchase orders
