Job Description: This position performs general food preparation, cooking, serving, and clean-up tasks in Auction, restaurant, and snack bar as assigned under direction of manager. Occasionally there may be a need additional hours or days and if so this will be communicated a minimum of 5 business days in advance.

Job Responsibilities: Planning and preparing one or two entrees of your choosing each day of the week. Prepare and cook food under the direction of cafeteria manager. Purchase any necessary food on Mondays Serve food including plating/wrapping foods to be served. Occasional need to set up banquet tables for lunch meetings. Operate cash register; count back money to customers. Responsible for overall cleanliness of restaurant and kitchen area. Responsible for keeping dishes and other kitchen equipment clean. Responsible for receiving, stocking, organizing, and rotating food items in storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers. Occasionally deliver food items to on-site locations if needed. Segregate and remove trash. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Load/unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food. Visibly demonstrate health and safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by manager, i.e., cash register closeout at end of shift, open/closing etc. Compliance with current County health code established food handling procedures. Responsible for minimizing food waste/loss to maximize revenue.

BSc/HND /ND or equivalent preferred in hotel/catering management/food technology/nutrition.6 months of kitchen experience preferred.
