From the rate of corruption in the country you can simply say our leaders obviously don't respect the Bible and Qur'an they were sworn in with. Do you think it would have been a different thing if the swearing in took place in our local shrines which I know they fear. For example, a Yoruba man swearing to ogun, olokun or sango will not jeopardize that agreement, Same as an Igbo man to ikenga and amadioha.

Knowing our leaders, the yorubas will disagree on whether to swear by Sango or Ogun, and likewise the Igbos with Ikenga or Amadioha.

I think also better if our governance method was based on those of our ancestors..but obviously that will require disintegration.

can't u see that our churches and mosques are more into politics because of their involvements.
