Does this mean that the easiest way to get rich in Nigeria is to kill a couple of people? I can see isakaba boys sharpening their blunt knifes. This government should not make mass murder financially beneficial. In the long term we will regret amnesty to bokoids. There is no comparison with bokos and nd militants. Boko's demands are ridiculous. I pity muslims that think that in the next gazillion years, they can islamise the whole of Nigeria. They are just plain stupid. The amnesty we should give these bokoids is their Islamic state. If they insist on taking any unwilling participants. Then they should be ready to fight a war with those people and their allies.

Niger delta force has come and gone with amnesty, fat one for that matter, gud number of them were sent abroad for various training. Now BH has come up for their own fatter share. If fed govt should grant them amnesty , that means terrorism is a business in Nigeria, if there is any amnesty for BH, that means i wil organise our own troublesome group in the east(Massob) to shake the country for our own share

It baffles me the way people respond to issues.I am fully in support of Amnesty for Boko boyz if it will bring peace to the region.Last year FGN spent close to a trillion naira to support the military stationed in the region, still NO PEAEC.State of emergency was declared in dos regions still NO PEACE.we don need An Angle to tell us dat the Military option is Not EFFECTIVE.If the the people on ground or in the line of fire whose. Properties have been destroyed, lost their love ones and livelihood etc. are ready to forgive and forget so dat peace can return. It is not too much to Ask.Give them Amnesty.

u must b a child and am sure u ar ignorant of wat appen in niger delta. Cus d militant stays in d creeks wit dere faces always covered. Dere remain ghost cus no one ever go dere and kom bak alive exept dos dat were negotiating for dem. Beter for gudluck jona to grant dem amnesty if dat will make dem to surender dere weapons, cus president can say a whole lots of intimidating words wen he knew quite well dey will never get to him. Do u knw d number of security personel dat escorted him to maiduguri? Now d question is ao many poor nigeria av acess to scurity guide. D inocent will continue to sufer while d rich will always continue to liv and sidefund our money. D rich will never kia cus none of dem or dere ralation ever fall victim of d blast. May God help d poor and d less previlege nigerians.

Hmmm...almost all the comments are venom directed to the north not BH. Our fore fathers told us that justice can only be done by a northerner and some few southerners here in Nigeria. Records have shown that....so pity.

Re: Should FG Grant Boko-Haram Amnesty? by siobahn: 9:43pm On Mar 11, 2013
What of Jamb and Ansaru, who will grant them Amnesty if Boko is granted Amnesty? Why are they calling for Amnesty? Are they tired of making stupid videos threatening the govt? The people calling for Amnesty should be arrested including that misguided sultan, they are the financiers of boko haram. Money don finish for their pocket so they are looking for alternatives.
*The Nigerian Government does not negotiate with terrorists, period!
*JTF should shoot those cowards at sight

Will that bring a total end to BH? If yes, it should be considered. You really cannot use military might to conquer fundamentalist religious uprising.

Please, let us tell ourselves the truth. Each time they talk about amnesty, they keep referring to the amnesty given to Niger Delta. The question we should ask ourselves are:- 1) Niger Delta militants were fighting a course( economic agitation of their God given resources),what is Boko Haram fighting for? 2) The niger delta boys -militants were visible in the creek, where or who are the Boko Haramist? How many innocents people did niger delta militants killed? How many Churches did they bombed/burnt? 3)Boko Haram killed thousands of innocents people(christians),burnt churches, etc, Are we now demanding for amnesty for them for killing innocent people and burning of churches & killing of our security personnel all over the places? Grant them amnesty and see HARAM BOKO emerging from middle belt. Thank you.

Amne...what?
If they like let them show their faces, legs, ass.es. But as for me and my household "NO AMNESTY FOR TERRORISTS"

Who's gonna grant amnesty to thousands of people killed and their bereaved families? Do suffering nigerians not deserve amnesty for the daily toil/challenges imposed by greedy politicians due to bad governance and corruption?

And is it logical/sensible to rewards murderers?
Amnesty ko Legnesty ni

Let's face facts. The northerners are furious because yaradua gave the Niger Delta Militants Amnesty. They decided to form a Militant group with the hope that such treatment will be accorded to them as well. This is a totally dumb move by the northerner and this proves beyond all measures the rate of illitracy that comes from the region.
I can boldly say that most northern governors pay their way into Govt houses, bribing the illiterate indigenes who don't know what democracy is all about.
Who are to blame for the under-development in the north? No one else but those at the helm of power. I rest my case.

The group is using the guise of religion to fight a political war. Those calling for amnesty for the group are either beneficiaries of the war or are afraid of the group. Why were they not talking before? Why is the issue of amnesty considered when the group is being weakened by attacks by JTF & the war in Mali. The group consists of barbaric & unproductive youths. No progressive persons can associate with them. Granting them amnesty is against natural justice & is a crime against humanity.
