NRC Md,secretary May Go To Jail- For Alleged Disobedience Of Court Order by bennyeby: 3:10pm On Mar 11, 2013 |
Justice Doris Okwuobi of a Lagos High court sitting in Igbosere, has fixed April 22,2013 to hear Contempt proceedings against the Managing Director of Nigeria Railway Corporation(NRC),Mr Adeseyi Sijuade and the corporation secretary,Mrs P.I Oyeabo. The duo were alleged to have disobeyed an order of the Appeal Court in Lagos, asking the coporation to deliver to Lido International Limited as claimants in a suit 7,676.4 tons of category "A" scraps. The claimants counsel told the press that his client-Lido International Limited were stopped by the agents of the Corporation while trying to execute the judgement of the appelant court at the premises of the Nigerian corporation in Kafachan,Kaduna State knowing fully well that the High court had granted the applicant's relief to 'Execute' the Consent judgement ceding the 7,676.4 tons of Category "A" scraps. The Duo seem to be hell bent on rubbishing the image of the NRC,as well as the present Democratic administration,by playing deaf ears to an already existing judgement of the Court of law,of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which the Predisent had vowed to uphold.
